Jennifer T. Doherty is the author/co-author of 12 children’s books, set in Scotland and North Northumberland. Inspired by the spirit of place, she loves to offer books where children can see familiar locations in the story.
She was moved to create Glasgow’s Welcome after hearing stories of the generosity of Glasgow’s people toward refugees, and their often-mentioned understanding that the givers gained more than anything they gave.
Gillian Robertson is a bookbinder and illustrator, with a studio in Glasgow. She is a prize-winning graduate of Glasgow School of Art.
Glasgow’s Welcome is her the third book in collaboration with Jennifer T. Doherty. The Unicorn of Holy Island, and The Sea Unicorn of Mull are her other books.
